Bioregional Herbalism & Regenerative Practices

At my herbal clinic, my practice is rooted in the philosophy of holistic bioregional herbalism. This means I focus on the healing plants that thrive in our local ecosystem and cultivate a deeper connection with the land and environment we live in. I grow many of the herbs I work with on my collaborative regenerative farm, using beyond organic methods to ensure the soil and ecosystem are nourished, not depleted. My approach to farming embraces sustainable, climate-conscious principles, ensuring every herb I grow contributes to the health of both the land and the people in my community.

In addition to growing my own herbs, I engage in ethical foraging, harvesting only what is abundant and never more than what is needed. I forage responsibly in our local regions, respecting the delicate balance of our native ecosystems and always prioritizing the health of the environment over convenience. When I do source herbs that I cannot grow or forage, I partner with small, regenerative farms to ensure the land is treated with care and respect from seed to harvest.

Native Traditions, Sustainable Sourcing, Supporting Justice

While I do currently work with some exotic herbs, I am committed to an ongoing transition towards working more and more with local and native plants. I’m passionate about Native American ethnobotanical traditions and contributing to the ecological and cultural preservation of native medicinal and cultural plants. This dedication not only honors the traditional knowledge of indigenous communities, but also ensures the survival of these plants and their wisdom for future generations.

In alignment with my values, 10% of the proceeds from my clinical practice and product sales go directly to reparations for medical access and land return to indigenous and black communities: the Southern Plains Tribal Health Board, Indigenous Rewilding, and Jubilee Justice. Another 5% supports a local herbal mutual aid clinic that I help run, where my cooperative team and I distribute herbal and nutritional support to our neighbors in need right here in Denton, Texas.

Empowering You Through Education & Personalized Care

When you come to me for a consultation, my goal is not only to address your current health concerns with immediate support, but also to empower you with the knowledge and skills you need to continue working with herbal remedies throughout your life. Each consultation is tailored to your unique health journey. I don’t just recommend herbs—I teach you why those herbs are the right fit for you, how they interact with your body, and how to integrate them sustainably into your daily life. Whether you want to grow your own herbs, prepare them at home, or purchase them sustainably, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

My consultations focus on herbal, nutritional, and lifestyle recommendations that support your individual goals. Together, we’ll find the best path forward, and I’ll ensure you understand how herbs can fit into your life in a way that feels manageable, meaningful, and personal to you. I believe in an educational, collaborative approach—one that leaves you feeling empowered, informed, and supported.

Book Your Consultation

This booking is for a low cost ($25) 60 minute consultation appointment with Arandena, a student herbalist of multiple herb schools (view CV).

  1. Book Your Appointment (at least 2 weeks in advance)
I take my time to thoroughly prepare for each consultation. Upon booking, you’ll be asked to fill out an intake questionnaire to help me understand your health history, current concerns, and overall wellness goals. The more detailed you can be, the better! But don’t stress if you need to complete it quickly—you can always fill me in on more details during our session.

  2. Research & Preparation (why I need 2 weeks)
I’m a student herbalist, which means I’ll spend time between your booking and our appointment researching your case to make the best possible recommendations. I may also consult with my mentor (anonymously and confidentially) to ensure that you’re getting the most comprehensive care.

  3. Your Consultation (60 minutes)
Our session is all about you! We’ll discuss your main health concerns in-depth, and I may ask some follow-up questions to fully understand your needs. Most of our time will be spent going over personalized herbal and lifestyle recommendations, so I suggest bringing a notebook to jot down any key points. I suggest writing down a few questions for me before our session as well! After the consultation, I’ll also email you a recap with bullet points of the suggestions we discussed.

  4. Follow-Up is Key
Healing is a journey, and it’s important to check in on your progress. I recommend scheduling a follow-up consultation 3-6 months after your initial appointment, to assess how things are going and make any necessary adjustments. Ongoing support is always available—whether through additional sessions or quick email check-ins for clients who have already worked with me.

  • Yes, I offer personalized herbal formulations based on your specific needs, which can be purchased after the consultation. You’ll have the option to order your custom blend directly from me, or I can recommend trusted local or online herbal suppliers.

  • Consultations are typically held online via Zoom for your convenience. If you prefer an in-person meeting, I’m happy to accommodate if you’re local to Denton, TX. I offer in-home visits and reservations of private rooms at libraries and coffee shops.

I currently do not have an office space, so if you would like to meet in person, please let me know well ahead of time so we can coordinate a meeting space.

    Office space coming soon!

  • After booking, you’ll receive an intake questionnaire via email to fill out before our session. The more detailed you can be, the better, but don’t stress if you need to fill it out quickly. During our session, we’ll dive deeper into your health concerns, so feel free to bring any questions you have.

  • I recommend scheduling a follow-up consultation 3-6 months after your initial appointment to monitor progress and adjust recommendations if needed. After that, it’s up to you! You can schedule follow-ups as necessary, or reach out via email if you have questions or need a refill or adjustment on a custom formula.

  • Yes! I currently host tea ceremonies that welcome the blessings of herbal teas like Blue Lotus, Wild Lettuce, Yaupon Holly, and Green Tea. I am also learning to co-facilitate spiritual ceremonies using companion medicines like Rapé, Sananga, Kambô, flower essences, incense, and smoke offerings.

Additionally, I volunteer leading wellness in nature mindfulness walks and plan to offer tea and plant medicine forest bathing circles specifically for queer folks, women, and domestic violence survivors.
